On April 10, 2020, during a livestream on Bose's Instagram, Marina played an acoustic rendition of the song. I created "LOVE + FEAR" as 2 separate records to be listened to individually. On April 4, To Be Human was released digitally with the other LOVE tracks. She posted a second snippet the next day containing lyrics from the chorus. On March 27, 2019, Marina posted a short clip of the song to Instagram. In September 2018, lyrics from the first verse were included in Marina's Heals Space exhibition.
